The Temptations: A near 45 association with Music's most famous record label will soon come to an end with The Tempts leaving Motown for pastures new. Ray Charles: On June 10th at the age of 73 Ray Charles passed away at his home in Beverly Hills surrounded by friends and family. Charles credited by many as one of the main reasons R&B evolved into the sound we now know as Soul died of Acute kidney failure. He will be sadly missed. (June 2004)
